Hi! My name is Katelyn. We raise corn and soybeans in Minnesota to feed to our pigs on the farm. This is a picture of my grandma and me in our farrowing barn where the sows (mama pigs) & isoweans (baby pigs) are. When the baby pigs are born they weigh about 3 pounds. When they are 19 days old they weigh over 13 pounds and I help my dad move them to a nursery barn where they have lots of room to play, eat & sleep. I help my mom count the pigs so there are 26 in each pen. By the time they are 6 months old they will weigh over 250 pounds! Each pig will have eaten over 500 pounds of corn and over 100 pounds of soybean meal!
