 We are Bethany and Michael, and we live on a farm in Iowa. Our family raises pigs, and we help our parents with chores, like feeding and watering the pigs. We feed our pigs corn and soybeans because those are crops grown here in Iowa. On our farm, we have large grain bins that hold the feed for our pigs. Our pigs are raised inside heated buildings so they stay warm in the winter. During the summer, if it gets hot, we use fans or water sprinklers to keep our pigs cool.
One of our favorite times on the farm is when a mother pig gives birth to piglets. They are so tiny when they are born! The pigs we are holding in this picture are still small enough for us to hold, but they will soon get too big.
